Rules
Entry Fee
$5.00 - Those playing strictly online will need to get their entry fee to me via personal delivery, PayPal, or the old-fashioned way of USPS. I will be fairly lenient with the due date for those of you not immediately in or around C-bus. Please limit entries to two three per person. If I suspect that you have more, I will probably pull the bracket.
The Rewards
- First receives 70%
- Second receives 20%
- Third recieves 10%
Deadline
Entries can only be entered online.
You can make online picks up to until the very last minute. Yeah, I know you could do the same thing by filling out an actual paper sheet, but then you'd have to drive downtown to deliver it to me. Nobody wants that. The picks in the online system will be able to be edited until noon on Thursday.
NOTE ** I know that a play-in game is scheduled for Tuesday. The brackets are not due until Thursday morning, regardless of this game. The Tuesday night winner will be known as the Play-In Winner, and they will play and lose to the top #1 seed.
The point system
- 2 pts for first round
- 3 pts for second round
- 4 pts for sweet 16 wins
- 6 pts for elite 8 wins
- 8 pts for final four wins
- 10 points for naming the champion
The Tiebreaker
Write your prediction for the total amount of points you think the final game will be. (If you think the score will be 76-70, write 146 on your paper). This is used as a tiebreaker if we have two or more people tied after the final game. The closest pick without going over the final score total wins. UPDATE: The closest pick to the final combined score is the winner. This is a new rule. It was voted on, and the vote was 1-0 in favor of changing the rule.
If you do not submit a tiebreaker score, then in the event of you tying with others, you automatically finish behind those with a total score written.
We have had to use a tiebreaker 2 times in the past 5 years, so don't forget!
